How activation works
  1. On the device, open Licence and choose Activate online.
  2. Follow the link or QR code the device shows, and sign in here.
  3. Issue the licence on the card that names that device.

The device installs the licence by itself within a minute.

    • Owner: everything an engineer can do, and also decides who has access, sets up customers, moves sites, devices and people between them, removes devices and sites, changes where a site stands, turns writes on for connections and screens, and looks after Hydro and its key.
    • Engineer: everything an operator can do, and also turns connections on or off, renames them, chooses their sites and sets a new password, and sets automatic updates and what WX Central corrects by itself. Not people, orders or licences. Where a customer is set, an engineer acts as an operator.
    • Operator: can update software and restore the previous version, restore a site's settings, send settings to other sites, prepare and approve desired-state changes, issue licences (uses seats), reveal a connection's password and download its certificates, and rename and locate sites. Only within their own customer, where one is set.
    • Viewer: reads everything they can see, can order seats and request licences, and changes nothing else.
